Users cannot opt out.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&rdquo;2\/3&Prime;][vc_column_text css=&rdquo;&rdquo;]<\/p>\n<h2>Some Sensitive Content Will Be Excluded<\/h2>\n<p>Most people don&rsquo;t love hyper-targeted ads, with many complaining about the lack of privacy that it offers.<\/p>\n<p>To them, Meta has an answer of sorts: It won&rsquo;t be collecting data on every single topic that users decide to share with its chatbot. Reporting on the new use of data, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/tech\/ai\/meta-will-begin-using-ai-chatbot-conversations-to-target-ads-291093d3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the Wall Street Journal<\/a> has called it &ldquo;the crossing of a new frontier in digital privacy.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Other commenters have offered responses ranging from <a href=\"https:\/\/bsky.app\/profile\/stardustbluepr.com\/post\/3m25banvnt227\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">refusals<\/a> to accept the change (&ldquo;Do not use Meta&rsquo;s chat functions&rdquo;) to <a href=\"https:\/\/bsky.app\/profile\/quillmatiq.com\/post\/3m257lt3xyc2z\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">flat irony<\/a> (&ldquo;Never thought the free products with ads company would use another free product to sell more ads, this is beyond shocking&rdquo;).<\/p>\n<p>The new ad push is likely part of Meta&rsquo;s attempt to monetize its increased focus on AI. CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently said that Meta plans to spend $600 billion on AI infrastructure across the next several years.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&rdquo;&rdquo;]<\/p>\n<h2>How Will Meta Roll Out the New Policy?<\/h2>\n<p>The policy will apply to most countries at launch, but a few countries are excluded for now.
